A wave of AI-generated podcasts, “podslop” to some, are flooding the market, Ashley Carman reports in this week’s Soundbite. In the past nine days or so, 10,871 new podcast feeds have been created; approximately 39% might have been AI-generated, according to the Podcast Index, an open-source platform that tracks the industry. “It’s absurd,” Dave Jones, who operates the index, told Carman.
